The Charleston Private School is an all girls, independent, day school located in Charleston, South Carolina. The school provides a constant challenge in an environment where students and teachers are engaged and passionate about learning. The Charleston Private School uses teaching methods such as developing mentor relationships, encouraging collaboration instead of competition on projects and allowing more time to process questions and formulate answers. The Charleston Private School enrolls approximately 230 students each year in grades 9-12, with approximately 6 of these being international students

The Charleston Private School is located in beautiful downtown Charleston, a lovely historic and scenic area. The Charleston Private School is approximately an hour and a half drive from Columbia, the state capital. Charleston has many amenities that will catch the students favor. With sailing and local beaches available it is a wonderful place for someone who loves the ocean, and beach life. The history of Charleston is surrounded by it’s famous fort, that sits at the tip of this quaint city/village. The summers are very warm and winters are mild.

Students attending The Charleston Private School are required to wear uniforms, which may be purchased through a local educational outfitters store and through a popular catalog.
H O U S I N G
Students will be placed with carefully selected host families in the Charleston area. A local contact person will be appointed to
supervise the student and the host family for the duration of the
student’s stay in the United States

Students attending The Charleston Private School are able to participate in the following interscholastic athletics: Basketball, Cross Country, Sailing, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
