This Christian, co-educational day school located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The school's mission is to assist parents with their responsibility to raise their children in discipline and instruction, and to provide academic excellence where fundamental subjects are taught. CVCS enrolls approximately 80 students each year, including 4 international students.

CVCS is located in Iowa, dubbed the City of Five Seasons. This eastern Iowa city, a rapidly growing town with many local shops, boasts a population of 121,000. Cedar Rapids is filled with many activities and annual events, some of which include canoeing, hiking, ethnic festivals, and art festivals. Residents of this city can also enjoy going to games for the hockey team, the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders. Average temperatures in the summer are approximately 75-80 F, while the winter temperatures go as low as 20 F.

The purpose of the dress code at CVCS is to promote an environment where learning can occur, as well as modesty among young people.Students at CVCS are not required to wear uniforms; however, the goal of the dress policy is to promote an environment where learning can occur, and to promote modesty among young people. All shirts must be buttoned and tucked in, and therefore, must cover the midriff area. Female students may wear shorts, Capri pants, dresses, and skirts, but all must be worn at a modest length. Slacks and denim jeans may be worn, but may not be frayed, ripped, or torn. Tight fitting tops or tank tops are not permitted at any time. In addition, outdoor clothes (coats, hats, hooded sweatshirts) may not be worn.

Students attending CVCS will be placed with carefully selected host families in and around the Cedar Rapids area. A local contact person will be appointed to oversee each student and host family for the duration of the student's stay in the United States.
