This school, founded in 1823, is an independent, co-educational high school located in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. This school is able to serve the needs of a diverse student population through its unique teaching methods and academic program. This school prides itself on its ability to determine students’ academic weaknesses and work toward improving those weaknesses. The school’s mission is to provide a broad and diverse academic program designed to offer each student stimulating, educational experiences. The school enrolls approximately 500 students in grades 9-12, with approximately 5 international students attending each year.

This school is located in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine which is 35 miles northwest of the city of Bangor. The city of Bangor was voted one of the top 10 cities in America in which to live. Dover Foxcroft is a rural area with a population totaling approximately 10,000. The city of Bangor, which is a short drive from the school, is a city of 40,000. This area has four distinct seasons. There are warm summers and very cold winters.

This school asks that all students dress in a neat, clean and appropriate manner. Students are not required to wear official school uniforms.
H O U S I N G
Male and Female students will live in a boarding house that accommodates 6 students. There is a faculty family that lives with the students and acts as the supervising adults for all 6 students. A local contact person who works in the school supervises all students.
