This high school is a co-educationational, independent day school located
in Blue Hill, Maine. The school was founded in 1803 and today dedicates itself to
being a caring and dynamic community that educates and encourages students to
reach their highest potential through a wide array of challenging academic and
extracurricular programs. As an independent school, this Blue Hill Maine High School has great
flexibility and creativity in designing programs that best meet the needs of their
students. The school enrolls approximately 300 students each year with 15
students being from countries outside of the United States.
L O C A T I O N
This high school is located in beautiful Blue Hill, Maine.
Blue Hill is located on the southern coast of Maine and has
traditionally been known for its coastal fishing and boat building
history. More recently it has become a city known to support
writers, painters, sculptors and musicians. Blue Hill is situated at
the mouth of Blue Hill Bay and has a charming collection of shops,
art galleries, pottery studios, restaurants and an excellent public
library. Blue Hill is located one hour from Bar Harbor, Acadia
National Park, Camden Snowbowl and three hours from Portland,
Maine and Sugerloaf Mountain. It is a five-hour drive to Boston,
Massachusetts from Blue Hill.

Students attending this Blue Hill Maine high school will be placed with carefully selected host families in and around the Blue Hill, Maine area. A local contact person will be appointed to oversee the student and the host family for the duration of the student’s stay in the United States.
